《歌(gē)舞昇(shēng)平》裡有幾個如果是肥(féi)皂劇劇情肯(kěn)定會被(bèi)安(ān)排(pái)連成一線(xiàn)的家庭，他們口(kǒu)中的悲(bēi)慘命運是如此曖(ài)昧地有異(yì)曲同工之(zhī)妙(miào)，令(lìng)人在(zài)觀(guān)看(kàn)時(shí)會想(xiǎng)那是誰的誰，那人跟那人又有什(shén)麼關係(xì)　　其(qí)實(shí)唯一的關聯是五個家庭同樣領(lǐng)取(qǔ)「綜援(yuán)」，但(dàn)每(měi)個故事卻往不同方(fāng)向發展。他們貧窮的理由(yóu)或(huò)許不一樣，處(chù)境也不一樣，結(jié)果，卻都發展成十(shí)分相似的生(shēng)活狀(zhuàng)態，殊途同歸(guī)的境地，幾乎都是對(duì)貧窮的習(xí)慣和適應(yīng)，影片裡穿插著過年的片段(duàn)，又和典(diǎn)型中國人過年有難(nán)以(yǐ)區(qū)分的相同與不同。　　The film explores the hidden face of poverty in one of the world's most affluent and capitalistic cities.
